SCOTT TILMANT
For Caldwell City Council
I am a small government, constitutional, conservative and I believe I can bring some common sense and fiscal responsibility to the Caldwell City Council.
MEET SCOTT TILMANT
New Leadership Delivering Results for Caldwell
I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in California, Hong Kong, and Singapore. As the child of a computer industry professional, I moved around a lot with my family, but returned to California after graduating high school in Singapore.
At 19, I began working as a designer/detailer in the civil/structural industry, and at 21, I started my own construction detailing business, working with engineers all over the country. I also worked as an ice hockey official, working both amateur and professional games.
At 28, I moved to Caldwell, Idaho after falling in love with the area while working an Idaho Steelheads game. I have two children, one in the US Navy and one studying music education at Weber State University. I’ve been married to my wife for 13 years, who was born and raised in Canyon County.
I’ve lived in Canyon County for almost half my life, and I’ve experienced the ups and downs of running a business and managing a budget. I am not a politician, but I believe I can bring something valuable to the City Council. I have watched the City be run by politicians who care more about their own political gain than what is best for the City.
As someone who has been in construction I believe I can bring a unique perspective to the City Council. I want to be a Councilman who listens to the residents and works to find the best solution for everyone, just like I do on job sites with contractors and engineers. I will be open and transparent about everything I do. Caldwell is growing fast and facing challenges, and I hope to be one of the residents who helps guide it in a better direction for everyone who lives here.
